Overview

The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), is the qualifying test for MBBS and BDS programmes in Indian medical and dental colleges. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

NEET is one of the most important and tough admission tests that any medical student must take. However, as difficult as it may appear, the opportunities that follow are limitless. The prevalent fallacy about NEET is that it is only possible to become a doctor after passing the exam and pursuing regular practices and academic training.

A candidate who wishes to study medical courses needs to have Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology as their compulsory subjects in Class 10th and 12th and must have passed these subjects. The candidate has to show their passing certificate at the time of the counseling round. Marks in Mathematics are not considered in the NEET-undergraduate exam (NEET-UG).

Other than undergraduate courses, NTA also administers NEET post-graduation (NEET-PG), an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MD/MS and PG diploma courses.

The NEET exam is conducted online and in 11 languages — English, Hindi, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Marathi, Urdu Bengali, Telugu, Kannada, and Assamese. The duration of the examination is three hours and a candidate needs to answer 180 questions. The exam paper is divided into three sections — Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology).

OLExpert’s pricing is dependent on the plan you choose. Plans vary as per grade and the exam a student is preparing for. Also, students can customize the topics as per the requirement. The quality of OLExpert’s content is really great and made it in a very interactive manner. Video Lectures: OLExpert’s online lecture is an educational lecture designed to be posted online. Lectures are recorded to video, audio, or both, then uploaded and made viewable on a designated site. Videos lectures increase student engagement, which in turn helps boost achievement. If students are interested in the material, they will process and remember it better. PDF Notes: Creating short notes, highlighting pertinent points, and making these as easy to access, organize and reference as possible should become a priority. This will ultimately help with information retention, as the concentration and active listening it requires will fire up cognitive processes that enhance learning. Practice Questions: Questions have long been used as a teaching tool by teachers and preceptors to assess students' knowledge, promote comprehension, and stimulate critical thinking. Well-crafted questions lead to new insights, generate discussion, and promote the comprehensive exploration of the subject matter.
